My wife and I provide a foster home with Rover Rescue in Chicagoland (www.roverrescue.org).
We just got a coonhound, a beautiful 2 yr old girl (english bluetick? sorry not familiar enough with the breed to know)and I need some help from people.
She came to us as a 'problem' child, but the only problem we saw was that she was a coonhound in the city! She wasn't getting enough exercise, and wasn't able to really employ that sniffer of hers. As you can see from the her bio http://www.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?petid=12227689 the previous foster home didn't know how to deal with a dog like her. Suffice it to say, she's off the prozac and we'll be writing a new bio soon. (What where they thinking?)
I'm looking for games and training exercises so that we can give her what she needs, mental and physical stimulation. Could someone also point me to a good guide of the breed? I want her to have a big life while she's with us, and could use as much info as possible.
We're also, of course, looking for a forever home for this sweetheart so if you know anyone....
